TIDE LINE WINS US OPEN FOR THE SECOND TIME!

Capt Dieter Cardwell and crew aboard the Tide Line scaled a 37.20 on day 2 of the US Open to claim 1st place and score a check over $108,000.  Tide Line also won the US Open in 2000 with a 39.85-pound king.  This was the first major event in the area since hurricane Florence, so thank you to all who came out and supported the local community in any way.  Teams reported that bait was scare and water clarity was poor but they were glad to be getting on the water to be part of the 40th annual US Open and get some sense of normalcy after the storm. In total, 432 teams came out which was a great sign that the anglers were ready to fish.  Thank you to Southport Marina, Oak Island Chamber, Brunswick Electric, Garmin, Sirius XM, Big Talker Radio, Point Click Fish, and the US Open team.  It was a great event and I know we are not the only ones looking forward to 2019 already.
