The SKA recently submitted the following letter to the City of Fort Pierce, in hopes of helping approve funding for their newly planned artificial reef. If you would like to personally contribute to this project, just write a check with “Artificial Reef Program” in the check memo and make it out to the St. Lucie Country Board of County Commissioners (2300 Virginia Avenue, Fort Pierce, FL 34982). If you want a memorial reef named after a loved one, a fishing team, sponsor, etc. you can purchase a limestone special artificial reef module which will be deployed within the planned SKA reef complex. All donations are gratefully accepted but module placement and naming costs $3,000.
