Capt Spencer Ross and crew scaled a massive 48.85-pound stud at the Two-Way KMT Saturday.  Full SKA results here and photos available here.  

Brunswick Ga, Mudcat Charlies- Division 4 kicked off at the Two-Way Sport Fishing KMT with 44 SKA teams ready to start the season.  A late afternoon thunderstorm at the captains meeting was all too familiar for these teams, as it has happened the last 3 years straight.  Thunder and rain couldn’t bring these anglers spirits down.  Conditions were great on the fishing day allowing teams to get creative when building a game plan for where to fish.   Capt Steve Greer and his Team Empire/Reel Dawg was in the lead early with a 34.15.  Their fish also earned Drew and Sam Greer 2^nd and 3^rd place Jr angler.  Word circulated around the weigh-in that there was a big fish on the way from Florida.  Capt Spencer Ross and the Flossy fishing team came to the scales in their Sweetwater Brewery wrapped boat with the rumored fish.  Once the tail was visible we knew this was going to be the new leader.  After some quick photos the fish hit the scales and the announcement was made “48.85!”  The crowd responded and the team celebrated their massive catch.  Next Teem Keep It Reel came in with a loaded fish bag.  Their 35.01 pound fish would secure 2^nd place for Capt Keith Morgan and first place Jr angler Noah Morgan. 

In the Small Boat Class a brand new team to the SKA, Reel Rebel took home top spot with a 30.87-pound fish.  This team also won $1,000 from the Small Boat Big Fish TWT.  This new program to the SKA is a $20 optional entry for Small Boat and Single Engine teams with a 1 place guaranteed payout of $1000.  Welcome aboard Captain Blake McMillan and crew!  Change of Plans was second in the Small Boat class with a 26.91 and Capt Scott Harding with Big Fishin rounded out the top 3 with a 22.52. 

The Single Engine class top boat was Capt Rex Johnson from Johnson One with a 14.78-pound fish.  He was followed by Team Mad Science Capt Dustin Collins with a 14.01 in second and another new SKA team Bait Taxi with a 12.40.
