Team Scale Bound fishes out of Little River and competes in all Division 2 Carolina Border tournaments, as well as a few Division 1 North Carolina and Division 3 South Carolina tournaments.

The team has been competing in SKA since 2015 and has won the SKA portion of multiple tournaments and had various other in the money finishes.

The best year that Team Scale Bound has had in recent memory is 2024. The team came in 12th overall and won the small boat division fishing Jack’s 24’ Pathfinder in the OIFC Jolly Mon. The team came in 2nd/570 boats and 919 fish weighed in the 2024 US Open with a 41.40 and won the SKA portion of the tournament. Next up, Scale Bound weighed a 28.05 in the Rumble in the Jungle, coming in 12th and finally, they weighed a 43.90, coming in 4th overall in the 2024 OIFC Fall Brawl.

Team Scale Bound primarily fishes all of the king mackerel tournaments in the area, but they also fish some of the offshore tournaments, winning first place overall in the 2022 OIFC Far Out Shootout with a 29.3 lb Tuna, 21.45 lb Mahi, and 43.5 lb Wahoo totaling up to 94.25 lb for the three specie aggregate. More recently, also in 2024, Team Scale Bound won the big fish division in the OIFC Captain Roger tournament with a 52.5lb Wahoo. Team Scale Bound also has multiple top 15 finishes in the well renowned SC Wahoo Series.

The Team is centered around Trask Cunningham and Jack Pawloski, with McClure Thompson, Brady Deal, Easton Deal, and Brent Hoshall also fishing from time to time.
