NBOA Insurance

Jim Butler

National Boat Owners Association knows that boating is meant to be a refuge from the hustle and bustle of your busy life. That’s why they’ve spent the past 25 years ensuring our members leave their worries ashore the moment they step on their boats. Whether it’s the best insurance policies, huge savings on everyday equipment, helpful safety tips, or the most important industry news, NBOA is your one-stop marine destination.

NBOA agents aren’t just experts in customer service – they have years of experience in all things nautical. You’re much more than a policy number at NBOA; you’re one of the crew. Our service ratings are impeccable because of that philosophy. Continue reading below

Continued from above... Look at the numerous benefits of NBOA membership (Free to every SKA angler for one year): 24-hour emergency dispatch and towing services from awide network of towers. That means no matter where you are in the continental United States, the first available boat is there to assist you in an emergency.

NBOA’s specialty, of course, is getting you the best insurance policies from a wide network of A-rated carriers. The Premier Angler policy offers serious protection at a fraction of competitors’ cost: Complete equipment coverage, Broad navigation limits, Pumped-up liability limits, and Tournament reimbursements just to name a few.

Throw in expert agents and all of the NBOA benefits, and you have the policy for the serious angler. NBOA keeps it simple: their customers get the best rates on the water, period.

Stop by the NBOA booth at Kingfish City located in the Isle Casino Hotel parking garage and ask Jim how to sign up for the free NBOA membership if it’s your first year or how to renew so that you are eligible for the $2,500 bonus.

Two SKA Members Make the Final Table

by Christine Rodenbaugh

Thirty-two players entered the BlackJack Tournament on Tuesday night. Lady Luck smiled upon Bobby Schoenfeld of the Lured Away and Jody Fusinatto of Off the Ledge who made the final table to finish in the money. Bobby took fifth and $256 while Jody took sixth and $160. I have to mention that Jack Holmes and Anthony Toups were in the last group before the final table. Jack took fourth in the 2009 BlackJack event.

Many thanks to Bobby Carter and the Isle Hotel Casino Biloxi for hosting this tournament. Wednesday night the Isle hosts a party at the Lava Bar at 7:00pm followed by the drawing for six 100-gallon fuel cards from Gorenflo’s. Plus, there’s a Texas Hold’em tournament in the Poker Room of The Isle Casino Hotel Biloxi. Registration begins at 5:00 (limited seats) and play is at 7:00.

The OptiMax family incorporates the best gearcase design principles by featuring a heavy-duty prop shaft and Mercury-patented dual water pickups on the front end of the torpedo for a constant flow of cooling water.

To ensure that Mercury engines are the best you can buy, Mercury conducts industry-leading tests that measure everything from fuel economy, horsepower, and RPM to noise and vibration levels -- and everything in between.
