Captains take note! Today is the only day to check in with Loreen to pick up your boat number and captain's bag. Usually we have two days of registration, but this is a year of change. So be sure to go to the Fenn Center at 2000 Virginia Ave. between 11:00am and 5:00pm.
And please don't wait until 5:00 if you can help it because you are likely to face a very long line if you do. For those of you fishing Nationals for the first time, Loreen must review your Nationals Application to be sure all information in her database is up to date. You can still add crew on site as long as they have fished two SKA sanctioned events in 2010 as competition members.
When all information is verified and you have been assigned a boat number, SKA staff will hand you your 2010 SKA National Championship Captains bag. You cannot check out without a boat number. You cannot get a boat number without seeing Loreen. You can only see Loreen today from 11am til 5pm, so get on over to the Fenn Center right away and avoid the line! Help Loreen in her quest to check in more than 200 boats in six hours.

2010 Nationals Captain's Meeting Webcast Announced
Make sure all your friends and family know that the 2010 SKA National Championship Captain's Meeting and Annual Awards Ceremony will be streamed live beginning at 6:30 PM Eastern Thursday evening. You have fished hard all year long and we want those who could not travel with you to share in your success. After recognizing valued sponsors and conducting the Captain's Meeting, Jack Holmes will emcee the annual awards. If you have friends and family that are not able to watch the Captain's Meeting and Annual Awards Ceremony live, the archived footage of the event will be available for viewing on the SKA Website immediately upon completion of the broadcast.
It seems only logical that our right to fish should be covered by the Constitution with the words "pursuit of happiness," but we can no longer take the sport for granted. There are those hell bent on severely limiting or even abolishing both hunting and fishing in the United States.
One organization, above all others, is taking action to protect your right to fish on an ongoing basis—the Recreational Fishing Alliance (RFA). Gary Caputi will be on site to raise awareness of the current efforts being made on your behalf. Be sure to stop by his booth and say hello and join the RFA today.
To further support the organization, raffle tickets will be on sale for $5 each or 5 for $20 during today's registration and tonight's Captain's Meeting.
The grand prize is $1,000 in AirTran tickets. 3:00PM: Scales Open at the Summerlin Dock and Weigh-in begins.
3:00PM-4:00PM: Come right to the weigh-in dock.
After 4:00PM: You will line up single file from east to west in front of the docks at the park.
4:30PM: All boats must return and be checked in by this time. Weigh-in continues until the last fish is weighed.
