Schedule of Events

This is a very busy week in Fort Pierce / Jensen Beach! Many events are listed here and more will be added, including Sponsor Parties for which the details are still in the works. Please read this schedule thoroughly and respond accordingly!

Monday, November 1

3PM-6PM: Check In / Registration for the final Yamaha Professional Kingfish Tour Event at SKA Trailer. Fort Pierce Yacht Club, 700 North Indian River Drive.
5:30PM-7:30PM: World Famous Chili Chicks Dance Group. Buffet compliments of Lee's Live Baits and
6PM-9PM: Anglers Welcome Party / Captain's Meeting hosted by Southern Eagle / Budweiser. Fort Pierce Historical Theme.
7PM: MANDATORY Captain’s Meeting

Tuesday, November 2

First day fishing, Yamaha Professional Kingfish Tour.
6:45AM: Check Outs, Fort Pierce and Jensen Beach. Fort Pierce will be at the Park at the east end of the inlet. Site for Jensen Beach to be determined.
7AM or first light: Bimini Start.
3:30PM: Scales Open
5:00PM: In Line. All boats must return to the Fort Pierce City Marina and be in line by 5 PM

Wednesday, November 3

Pro Tour check-outs same as Tuesday.
6:45AM: Check Out
4:00PM: Check In. All boats must be in line at the Fort Pierce City Marina to weigh by 4PM. One hour after last fish is weighed there will be a special awards ceremony at the Marina. Same place you weighed your fish.
After 7:30PM: Sponsor parties.
8PM: Texas Hold-em Poker Tournament. Fort Pierce Jai-Alai Fronton. 1750 South Kings Highway, Fort Pierce. Limited seating. You must make reservations! 772-464-7500. If we do not have 30 people to play one week prior to event it will be cancelled.

Thursday, November 4

Havert L. Fenn Center, 2000 Virginia Avenue in Fort Pierce.
11AM-5:30PM: Mandatory Number Pick-up for the 20th Anniversary NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP! It is imperative you pick up your Captain’s bag and Tournament Number by 5:30pm. You must be in line no later than 5:15PM. Sponsor Booths open at 11:00AM. Make sure you stop by and see them and thank them for supporting your sport.
5:00PM-6:30PM: Welcome Party / Complimentary Food, Cash Bar. "Beer Tails" Southern Eagle will provide 2 kegs of Landshark lager with Landshark give-a-ways.
6:30PM: Sponsor Awards followed by the CAPTAIN’S MEETING, next will be presentations of Special Awards including the Director’s Award & Sportsmanship Award. The winners of these awards are not published, so be sure to attend in case you are one of the winners!
7:00PM: Then we will do the Divisional Awards. First five places in the Open Class, Top three places in the Class of 23, Top Ladies, Top 3 Juniors in each division, Top Seniors, Overall Top Lady, Top Junior, and Top Senior.


Friday, November 5

First Day of Fishing

You are allowed to weigh one fish per day.
Remember, carefully release all the fish you do not intend to weigh. We will take the culled fish off your hands when you come in to weigh. These fish, along with your catch, will be donated to the Artificial Reef program in the local area. We already have a reef there in the SKA’s name.
SKA Rules and Code of Conduct Apply!
Boundaries: No North or South Boundaries. Do not fish in Bahamian waters.
All Boats begin checking out at 6:30am in both Fort Pierce and Jensen Beach NOTE: After you show your number you must continue out the inlets and line up no more than a quarter mile north or south of the inlet. PLEASE RESPECT ALL NO WAKE ZONES!!
VHF RADIO CHANNEL 72 IN FORT PIERCE, CHANNEL 68 IN JENSEN BEACH. If you use Channel 68, after we turn you loose please turn your radio to 72, which is the official channel of the tournament.

3:00PM: Scales Open at the Summerlin Dock (420 Seaway Drive) at South Causeway Park in Fort Pierce. (West end of inlet.)
3:00PM-4:00PM: Come right to the weigh-in dock. Remember, you can communicate with us on VHF Channel 72.
After 4:00PM: You will line up single file from east to west in front of the docks at the park. (This is the same park we used last time in Fort Pierce. The one we moved to) Have your fish ready for your group picture. Immediately after your picture is taken, the person or persons can immediately go to the scale. The boat will leave the dock. We will have an area for you to pick up your teammates. If you are coming from the south via the Intracoastal Waterway, you must be under the bridge by 4:30PM.


Scales close after last fish is weighed.
4:30PM: All boats must return and be checked in with the check-in person by 4:30PM. Stay in line and keep your VHF radios on Channel 72 so we can communicate with you. Please remember that the area we are using has a strong incoming or outgoing tide. Watch your speed and keep your team members looking for other boats!!! Please keep your radio on and eyes open for any fellow members who break down or have other problems. If you have no fish to weigh after the first day, please contact the tournament committee on VHF 72 or 904/669-0011 that you are safely in port.
There will be scoreboards at the tournament site for your inspection!

Saturday, November 6

10AM: Awards Ceremony, South Causeway Park same place you weighed your fish. Awards take an hour so please be on time so we all can get on the road. Coffee and Bloody Mary's served.
Due to weather conditions we are now only having one day of fishing!
Second & Final Day of Fishing. Everything is the same as on Friday.
No kingfish from the previous day are allowed to be kept on your boat unless they have been cleaned and placed in freezer bags for transportation home.
We will inspect boats both days of the event and fish will be checked with a Torry Meter for freshness.
Boats caught with whole fish onboard will be disqualified from that day’s competition. That is for each day of the tournament.
