The 11th Annual Southern Kingfish Association Sanctioned Onslow Bay Open Tournament King Mackerel Tournament will be held on August 12 and 13, 2011, a 2 day tournament.
Registration-Friday, August 12, from 5 PM to 8:30 PM at the Rotary Civic Center in Swansboro.
Captain’s Meeting-will be at 7 PM, Pepsi will sponsor the refreshments and Domino’s will provide the Pizza from 5 PM until gone.
Fishing Day-Saturday, 8/13 with lines in the water at 6:30 AM.
Weigh In at Casper’s Dry Stack Marina, Swansboro, from 2:30 to 5:30 PM.
Awards-8:30 PM Saturday at the Hampton Inn, Swansboro.

There will be 4 TWT’s, paying 4 places 40%-30%-20%-10% that all boats may enter; a $100 per boat TWT, a Big Boys TWT for $300 per boat, dolphin and amberjack TWT’s for $50 each. All TWT’s are Secondary Prizes, which means you can win more than one of these prizes.
The following are Primary Prizes, you can only win one of these:
Single Engine Primary Prize, $1500 for Single Engine Boats sponsored by The Reel Outdoors.
Junior, Senior and Lady Angler of $500 for each that meets the Southern Kingfish Association rules, sponsored by Bone Suckin Sauce.
Closest King Mackerel to 18 lbs. without going over, $300 sponsored by Crystal Coast Engineering.
The Payout Schedule has changed from previous years. The Tournament will pay 20 places, the Entry Fee again will be the same as previous years, no increase, $300 for early entries and $350 after 8/1/2011.
Based on a 100 boat entry and 100 boats entered in the $100 TWT, the following prizes will be awarded:
11th thru 20th place-$300 each
Prizes may increase if the base of 100 boats is exceeded.
In 10 years the tournament has raised $192,000 for Childrens Charities and the NCBIWA. This year we are supporting: Onslow Christmas Cheer, Carteret County Shop With A Cop, Boys and Girls Home of N. C., Children’s Flight of Hope, and N. C. Special Olympics.
$10 from each entry will be contributed to the Recreational Fishing Alliance (RFA) and the North Carolina Beach, Inlets, and Waterway Association (NCBIWA). http://www.obokmt.us
