Materials and Framing Photo Paper

Photoluster would be the media of choice if the image were to be later framed as it prevents glare. Archival inks are used to ensure fade resistance that is far greater than a traditional photograph. Because it should never be laminated, it has some of the frailties of a traditional photograph. Watercolor Paper

Digital canvas reproductions make distinguishing the original from the duplicate a challenge. The canvas material is acid free and can be stretched without issue. From the French verb "to spray," the word Giclee (zhee-clay) is used to describe a certain standard in printmaking technology. High resolution digital files are reproduced using a high-end ink jet printer and stable pigment-based inks onto various substrates such as watercolor paper and stretched canvas. The inks have a fade and color shift resistance of 75-100 years under average indoor lighting conditions. Professional stretching gives your Giclee print that finished, classical look and readies your work for framing. Texturing adds a clearcoat that adds a brush stroke appearance and serves to protect the print. This method has gained popularity with fine artists in the place of traditional lithographic printing on smooth surface papers. FAQ Can you take a picture of my boat for me?

Yes. Let us know what tournament you will be fishing next and we will make every effort to get a picture of your boat. Can I supply a picture of my boat?

Yes. A 4x6 print on glossy paper is fine. Be sure the boat is not 'cut off' at the bow or stern and that the horizon line is in the upper third of the picture so we have plenty of water to work with. (We need more water than sky.) A running shot looks best for the Vortex background, but the others look best at idle. Can you use pictures from my digital camera?

Maybe. Digital cameras improve daily, but it will depend on the 'megapixels' your camera captures and how large of a print you order. How long will it be before I get my picture?

Normal delivery is 4 to 6 weeks. This includes the time it takes to remove the background from the original photo and incorporate it into the background. Do I pay an art charge for each item ordered?

Not if each item uses the same background art. Can I order more than one background?

Yes, but there will be an art charge for each one.
